Job Title: Material Planner

Polymax Thermoplastic Elastomers, LLC has a new state of Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) manufacturing facility in Waukegan, IL. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill the position of material planner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Raw material inventory management;
  • Production Planning;
  • Support in the identification and sourcing of raw material suppliers;
  • Assist the VP of Technology;

Education and Qualification:

Bachelor of Science degree in chemical, polymer science, or similar field of interest or equivalent experience. Experience in ISO would be a plus.

Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and strong team working skills.
Ability to work as a team player. Good computer skills, especially MS Excel.
Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail.
Knowledge of thermoplastic process is a plus.

Job Title: Project Engineer

Responsibility:

  • Evaluate existing thermoplastic elastomer compounding process to mitigate current productions setbacks and prevent future slowdowns.
  • Improve process capability and productivity while maintaining and improving quality standard to increase production and decrease cost via Minitab statistical methodologies.
  • Review production design and application.
  • Conduct Injection Molding FEA simulation to make design and manufacturing process improvement suggestions.
  • Develop and implement of creative solutions to complex problems on a regular basis. Including: test method development and validation, compounding process development etc.
  • Create product specifications and other engineering analysis as necessary. Participate in ISO and supplier audit to accelerate the business.
  • Use Minitab and injection molding finite element analysis software.

Requirement:

  • BS degree in Industrial Engineer or Mechnical Engineering with 6 months experience as Project Engineer or Product Development.
  • Related exp must include using Minitab and injection molding finite element analysis software.
